Experience
With a Masters of Science in Psychology from California State University Chico (2020), I've honed my therapy skills over the past 5 years. My diverse experience spans multiple settings:
2018-2020: Behavioral Health Clinician in Intensive Inpatient settings
2019-2020: MFT Trainee, leading anger management, domestic violence, and substance abuse groups, alongside individual therapy
2020-2021: AMFT School-Based Counseling
2021: Behavioral Health Clinician in an Intensive Mobile Treatment Team
2022-present: Outpatient Private Practice
Each role has enriched my understanding and approach to therapy, contributing to my growth as a practitioner.
Expectations
Initial sessions will focus on intake, gathering context, and understanding your history, including family, relationships, professions, health concerns, and presenting problems.
We'll collaboratively create a treatment plan tailored to your needs, establishing measurable steps to achieve your desired outcomes.
Feeling comfortable may take a few sessions, but we'll work at your pace.
Initially, we'll meet weekly, with flexibility based on your goals.
It's common for symptoms to worsen before improving as we explore deeply held emotions.
Ongoing check-ins will ensure we address your needs, expectations, and progress effectively.
Adjustments to our approach are normal as we navigate your therapeutic journey together.
Philosophy
My clients are the experts and directors of their care.
I aim to help you unlock your inner confidence, find purpose, meaning, and achieve your goals.
I facilitate this through leading questions and helping you identify your values and beliefs.
I refrain from providing advice because I recognize that I'm not the expert on you.
Self-care is paramount, as it enables us to care for others and create a better world.
Therapy consists of weekly 45-60 minute sessions, where change can be sparked and maintained by your actions outside of session.
I believe in a personalized approach to therapy, recognizing that it's not one size fits all.
