Refuse to Be Numb: A Free Support Space in Times of Unrest (Not Therapy)

Virtual support group open to NY residents

The headlines don’t stop. The footage doesn’t fade. Whether you're grieving, overwhelmed, angry, or just tired in your bones — you are not alone.

We are not meant to hold this much alone.

Beginning Sunday, June 15, I’m offering a free, virtual support space for New Yorkers feeling the emotional weight of this moment. It’s not therapy. It’s not a political action space.

It’s a place to land — to exhale, to feel, and to be in community during a time when so many of us are searching for clarity and connection.

What This Space Is For

This group is for those impacted by the collective tension and uncertainty of recent weeks — including news cycles, protest response, and community grief. Whether you’ve been out in the streets, glued to updates, supporting from the sidelines, or just holding it all in your body: this space welcomes you.

It’s a time to reflect, gather ourselves, and remember we’re not navigating this alone. Especially on Sunday, we’ll offer space to decompress and process after a long week — or a hard Saturday.

This is not a group affiliated with any specific movement, action, or organization. We are not collecting data. We are not asking about affiliations. You do not have to name where you’ve been or what you’ve done to be here.

Learn More About Me

I’m a trauma-informed therapist based in NYC, working with individuals and couples navigating grief, burnout, identity shifts, and the weight of complex experiences.

My approach is relational, depth-oriented, and rooted in compassion — not quick fixes. I believe healing happens through connection, reflection, and the slow, intentional work of becoming who you are.

This group is just one way I try to offer care outside of traditional therapy.

Final Thought

You’re not too sensitive.
You’re not overreacting.
This moment is heavy. You deserve space to feel what you feel.

Let’s refuse to be numb.
