What Scrolling on Social Media Hasn’t Given You
Real support. Real relief. Real connection.
Not another quick tip or trauma meme.
What to Expect in Our First Session
Maybe you’ve been to therapy before. Maybe this is brand new.
Clients often ask, “Where do I start? What do I even say?”
Let’s slow down.
Our first session is all about getting to know each other. Before we meet, you’ll complete a few simple intake forms so I have a sense of what’s bringing you in. We’ll review a few practice policies together, then ease into a conversation about your needs, your goals, and how I can best support you.
You don’t need a perfect story or polished answers—just show up as you are.
Ongoing Therapy: How It Works
I recommend we meet weekly for at least the first 12 weeks to build momentum and create a foundation of trust. After that, we can reassess together—sometimes bi-weekly sessions feel like a better fit, and sometimes clients prefer to continue weekly.
Every couple of months, we’ll check in to make sure the rhythm of our work still aligns with your evolving goals.
Each session lasts 50 minutes.
You’ll lead the conversation.
Want to talk about a work crush? Let’s do it.
Kid won’t stop screaming? Let it out.
Big emotions bubbling up? I’m here for it.
Some sessions might feel lighter, and some heavier—but everything you bring is welcome. I’ll be connecting the dots behind the scenes, holding space for your story and helping you make sense of it, one layer at a time.
You lead the way—and I’ll hold the map.

FAQ
-
That’s more common than you might think. If past therapy felt too surface-level, it doesn’t mean therapy can’t help — it may just mean you need a different approach. My work goes deeper, focusing on the patterns that shape your life and relationships
-
I’m an out-of-network provider, which means I don’t bill insurance directly. Many clients use services like Thrizer for reimbursement, and some prefer private pay for more confidentiality.
-
Instead of focusing only on one partner, we look at the relationship itself, including the patterns you share and how they developed. The goal isn’t deciding who’s right, but helping you repair and reconnect.

Insurance usually requires one person to have a mental health diagnosis (an F-code) in order to cover treatment. Since couples therapy is about your relationship dynamic, it’s typically billed under a Z-code, which most insurance companies don’t reimburse. Some couples still use out-of-network benefits, but often it’s an out-of-pocket service.

Family therapy creates a supportive space where everyone can be heard and understood. I specifically work with parents and adult children, helping you navigate communication challenges and shift old patterns that no longer serve your relationships.

Groups let you learn from others and practice new ways of relating in real time. Many people find the connection surprisingly powerful.
